Job Description:

Position is responsible for managing operations for assigned crews of your Account Manager and coordinating resources including labor, equipment, and materials to ensure maximum use and completion of work within budget while ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and quality standards.

Field Ops Supervisor is responsible for the growth and development of field staff and assisting them in carrying out their responsibilities as needed. Field Ops Supervisor will hold a snow team leader position in the winter months.

Responsibilities/Activities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct supervisor of lawn & enhancement crew leaders assigned to your Account Manager. Partners with field staff to plan professional development.
  • Evaluates crew leaders’ abilities to manage employee production, performance, and leadership skills. Works with crew leaders to develop these skills.
  • Works with Account Management to assess quality of work and fulfill contractual obligations, and implements strategic plans with field staff to attain goals.
  • Reviews time sheets for assigned crews and turns into Payroll department.
  • Performs quality control checks, evaluates work performed, and reports back to Account Manager on quality issues and wins.
  • When deficiencies with staff or quality of work have been identified, FOS provides the necessary oversight to course correct and documents coaching. Field Ops Supervisor provides Account Management with daily updates on jobs.
  • Ensures that crew leaders are results-oriented and works with Account Manager to maintain a positive team environment.
  • Assist in the scheduling of assigned crews and projects to ensure clients’ needs are met, as well as to hit the financial goals of the company.
  • Assists in field work each day to ensure production deadlines are met, and quality of workmanship is within standards.
  • Ensures all materials, equipment, and other supplies are ordered and/or on hand for your respective crews’ daily assignments, and works with other Field Ops Supervisor(s) to confirm availability of materials and equipment.
  • Provides work orders to field staff at the end of the day for the next day and ensures crew leaders and crews are prepared for assigned projects.
  • Mentors and trains crew leaders and crew members to ensure safe and effective implementation of C&C quality standards utilizing TWI staff.
  • Identifies team members with potential for growth and organizes career paths utilizing appropriate documentation.
  • Ensures all work is completed in adherence to safety policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Visits job sites on a daily basis observing organization of work, identifying and resolving training issues, and taking necessary actions to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Manages team’s inventory of all assigned tools and equipment.
  • Maintains day-to-day working knowledge of all contracts in progress, including field completion status and reports back to AM daily.
  • Maintains a high level of housekeeping and care of company assets in the field, vehicles, shop, field offices, and customer work-sites.
  • Develops and recommends improved work methods and standards.
  • Maintains yard responsibilities as assigned (see attached sheet).
  • Maintains snow team leader responsibilities (see attached sheet).
  • Uses and maintains a Carpenter & Costin shared calendar.
  • Assesses upcoming jobs and turns in weekly cash flow sheets on Friday for purchases for the upcoming week.
  • Attends and participate in all assigned meetings including, but not limited, to 1-2-1s, safety meetings, and training meetings. Meets with team members to complete 1-2-1s, and documents coaching.
  • Own the day-to-day and week-to-week management of operations.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.


  • Current, valid, and insurable driver’s license
  • 3-5 Years Landscaping industry knowledge
